| almost the same thing happened to us... we were in the process of attracting new players when The Announcement was made. Lost a number of potential DDM players to SWM as a result. Now we're trying to rebuild and it's an uphill battle.

Well, I hope that the Guild can lure them back. We have one more official and competitive championship under WotC's auspices, and from there, the Guild will offer an official and competitive play environment as good or better than what we've had thus far. We are, after all, officially licensed :)

| The game will continue (or rise again, in the case of places where it's faltering or dead). Times are tough right now, but the current group and its leadership will keep things afloat. And, since Wizards will continue to produce minis, the DDM Guild will continue to produce stat cards. So, the game will exist, it's just a matter of making sure there are players to play.

| Well Maxminis could always Diversify too. We've got the forums for the WoW minis after all, how about some other pre-painted mini and RPG love? I'd personally luv a generic RPG forum to post in. There's all kinds of Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror games I'd love to chat about other than D&D.
