| I picked up a starter and four boosters yesterday. I was impressed by the sculpts and the paintjobs in the boosters. Not so much with the minis from the starter. Dooku looked fine, but Obi-One had flash on his armor and lightsaber. The set also has some great new Clone troopers and new Battledroids, why did they end up using inferior sculpts from the first Clone Wars set.
It was particularly neat to recognize minis from the Cartoon Network animated series. A couple of the commons/ uncommons I recognize from the Arena fight with Ventress.

| There should be. I'll ask my FLGS the next time I stop in.
Posted By greyhaze on 11/04/2008 10:01 AM Is there a set poster somewhere?

| | Got the poster in hand, some nice pieces. Some names don't really match the pieces tho, imo. | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | | I thought the set quality seemed about the same as usual. some very nice looking pieces and some that didnt look quite right. definitely nice almost getting a full set with one case. alot easier to collect and play. | | | |

| Quality is pretty good in this set, with the exception of possibly Anakin of Nelvaan. Mine (and I have two), and I've seen others, have poorly glued on arms.
Aayla, Durge, Grievous & Holo Sidious are excellent. | | "No disintegrations? Yeah right!" - Bail Ohmar, Warriors of Gar Sithspawn's Lair - www.ugavine.com

| I just updated my H/W list for this set and came to a startling conclusion. There isn't really all that much I want from this set. This is the first of the 40 figure sets so there was pretty much just Old Republic, Separatists and Fringe. No Rebellion, Empire or Sith can be found in this set. For a brand new player / collector to the game the set is pretty perfect. It's very self contained and would work well with a Booster draft type of play. For a long time collector / player quite a bit of the set is redundant with figures I already have. Sure I didn't have a Sidious Hologram or Clone trooper on a Bug. However quite a few of the figures like the Battledroids and Superbattle droids are redundant. I've got piles of these suckers from the past three sets they've been in, why couldn't we have gotten more living Seperatist troops? I would have prefered they keep the Battledroids out and just throw in some more generic clone troopers. The ones from Attack of the Clones set were god awfull in their sculpt and paint quality. I love the cleaner crisper look of the new Clone Troopers.

| Got my order in hand now.
Interesting new look on the card, I really like it. Nice job. :)
I'll start with the negative:
Poncho Clone Trooper - why?
Scoundrel Wookie - weird sculpt
Battle Droids - skinny legs make em difficult to get em in hand without the fold over effects, hoping someday they figure out a way to fix this.
Super/Heavy Battle Droids - thicken up their arms a bit and they won't curve horribly, please.
Arc Trooper Huncher - that is not a sniper rifle, by ANYones standards. Terrible.
IG Assassins - Cool fig, not so cool slouching.
Very cool stuff:
Trandoshan Scavenger - nice stuff!
Utapaun Warrior - very nice sculpt!
Human SoF - nice sculpt, surprising since the artwork sucks.
Techno Warrior - great, except maybe the head, seems small and too brightly coloured (what race is this anyways?)
Neimoidian Warrior - awesome sculpt and paint, really like it.
Magna Guard - Awesome!
IG Assassin - I like vs the slouching. I know kinda odd to have them on both the good/bad lists.
Bariss Offee - Nice sculpt!
Odd Stuff:
Aqualish Warrior - skin hair?
Star Corps - artwork doesn't match the sculpt, but both are good | | Greyhaze's DDM Spoilers Champion of a Medium Dog & then a Darkenbeast , Raistlin Majere, Nightmare WDQ25/60, Warduke WD60/60, Anti-Champion of Guns, "Knight of Bugbears", and Joke Champion of Venger. | | its to bad the super battle droids are getting skinnier arms/legs. The old super battle droids are far superior in sculpt/details. is the aqualish the only one from the arena? | | The ROCK layeth the smacketh down. | Just got my first few singles from the set. Aayla is great, even if paintjob isn't perfect & there's some glossyness. Aayla & Maul were my #1 wants from clone strike, until I saw a close-up pic of the mini and saw how horrible it was - even if it costed tons due to VR status. And now we got a rare one that looks decent, goodness! Btw, I haven't examined stats, how does it play? Needs clones to work I guess.
Also got trandoshan & human soldier which are cool. I might want a few more of those, and some techno union soldiers (for future steampunk game) and neimodian soldier (for sp too, with some modifications). | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland

| | my favorite set so far has been Knights of the Old Republic. i don't know if i really like the animation version of star wars yet. so i don't know if i really like the set. i did get a starter set and i love the general obi-wan. anything that helps build up my clones i like! killed my brother with a 200pt team. he was seperatists with the new dooku and more and didn't kill a single mini of mine! he's only a couple years younger too. normally pretty even. so i guess i like it so far... | | | |
