WoW actually has better balance then DDM, here is why.

3 figures of the same faction

You can only use one figure that has Legendary in your party

There is no cap on point builds, however you must score as many VP as your party build total Honour cost.

If you use a 11 Honour, a 8 Honour, and a 9 Honour figure in your party you need to score 28 VPs if you want to win.

If you use a 5 Honour, 8 Honour, and a 6 Honour figure you need to score 19 VPs to win.

Each time a figure is eliminated you gain 4 VPs, if the eliminated figure is Legendary you score 8 VPs

Each VP area only scores 1 VP

You can only respawn one eliminated figure at a time

Each figure can have 2 action cards and it can not use more then 1 of the same action card

Each figure in a booster comes with set action cards they are able to use

Each figure can use any Action card of a certain type as long as it meets the requirement (i.e a Mage can use any mage action card unless it has a specific restriction)

Each booster has 1 Rare, 1 Common/Epic, and 1 Common figure. All 3 figures will always be the same faction

72 figures in the core set, 66 of which you can get from boosters, 4 from the starter set. Each faction has 2 Epic figures (all of which are Legendary as well)

A figure can not take a action until the amount of "ticks" on its base matches what tick the master clock is on.

You can only use a action once every round, and each round is 10 turns or "ticks"

Cons:

To have a tournament legal party, your party must belong to the same faction and have the matching U base for that faction. The starter set has 3 Horde and 3 Alliance U bases.

However if you want to use the monster faction, you need green U bases which will only be available in the Delux starter set.

The delux starter set which is set to come out early next month has 6 random figures, 3 of one faction and 3 of a diffrent faction, and this is the only way to get monster U bases other then a tournament (assuming the delux starter you buy has 3 of the monster faction)

FYI.Â

Some Action Bar cards are reactivated on tics 5.Â

Also, I believe there are some figures that have powers that can reactivae a used Action Bar card.Â

Most effects {buffs, debuffs etc} only stack if they have different names. So you can't casually build a cheesy team to max-out one effect.

WotC had a deliberate design policy of unbalencing about 10% of the figures after playtesting (they believed it increased sales)
wow-minis doesn't seem to have that policy (at least for the characters) The action bar cards are less balenced. But any character of the same class can use the same cards, so the game is balenced for most of the 70 figures in the set.
