| | When converting PC's, do you do a direct level conversion, or is there some formula. If you go direct level, you lose XP, but if you convert existing XP to the new system, you are a lot higher level. Is 30 the new 20, or is it the same with ten extra levels? | | E-mail | Have/Want List | Reference thread "Whatever you do, don't drop a blade barrier on a troll."

| | WotC has repeatedly made it clear (despite their series of "conversion" articles) that 4e is too different from 3.x to effect a proper conversion. The recommendation: simply start a new campaign at level 1. | | "Clearly a case of too many hunchbacks and not enough mad scientists..." | |

| Yeah, I'm not going to convert my Wiz 8/Rog 4/Arcane Tricker 7 Kender to 4e. I'd lose way too much. I'd lose the taunt at will, I'd lose 20 spells, I'd lose my sneak attacks. I'd lose haste, wall of stone, and many other neat toys like enchantments, illusions, and other great utility spells.
I'm planning on doing a bard/rogue/arcane trickter sometime... That would really be neat.
| | Just a simple traveler from the swamps of Dagobah otherwise known as Florida. Also known as Hurricane Alley! I always try to send through delivery confirmation, and I expect the same. It's only 55 cents extra, so it's just a little more than a pay phone call, so just do it for the Kai. I prefer to trade with people in the US and Canada, sorry everyone else. http://www.maxminis.com/Forums/tabid/104/forumid/53/postid/655406/view/topic/Default.aspx - references | |
