| Here's my character for a friend's D&D game. I thought about going with a Teifling, but generally I like playing Humans.
Rikard Morthos, Infernal Warlock
STR 10 CON 16 DEX 12 INT 16 WIS 11 CHA 13
At Will: Eldritch Blast, Hellish Rebuke, Dire Radiance Encounter: Vampiric Embrace Daily: Flames of Phegethos
Feats: Human Perseverance, Skill Training : Perception*
Skills: Arcana, History, Religion, Streetwise, Thievery
He's the youngest son of a Noble Family long associated with Infernal Powers. Many of his relatives are Teiflings. While Rikard does not have enough infernal blood to be one, he is still a talented Warlock. He's a bit of a black sheep among the family as well, often "slumming" with the underbelly of society. Right now he is on a family rite of passage to travel and adventure before he's expected to come home and settle down. Currently he is passing himself off as an investigator of the Arcane. He is quite cautious about revealing himself as a Warlock of the infamous Morthos line.

| Some of my other friends are trying to push me towards the Eladrin and the Fey pact actually.

| If you are going for a story based character it looks great. Your feats seem a bit unusual but you clearly had something in mind for him. If you want to build a power gaming warlock I would build along one of 3 lines: Halfling + fey lock: best defenses and the ability to get out bad situations
Eledrin + Fey Lock + eyebite: Misty step + fey step is like a series of get out of jail free cards. Probably the best at surviving.
Tiefling + infernal lock: best at dealing damage as a striker.
Human warlocks are probably the most flexible thanks to how you can select your stats and feats. Trades in some stronger abilities for the flexibility though. | | Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested! | Warlocks; Dwarf, con+2 is strong for an Infernal-pact warlock & at 11th level the dwarf's healing surges improve a lot from high con.. 1/2 elf or Human are OK, but not quite as good (the humans bonus feat certainly helps survive at first level) Halfling; for a fey-pact warlock with highish AC & lots of bonuses againsts AoO. Dragonborn; No con boost, but dragonborn get bonuses to both healing surge & breath attacks from high con. The dragonborn's str+2 does, eventually help you take the feats needed for plate armour & a large shield. If you want a character which is both Spellcaster & Tank. Tiefling, don't believe the rulebook. Without a con boost & with no AC improvements, Tieflings are nerfed as warlocks. | | | |

| I'm strongly considering moving the +2 to Con making it 14. An int of 14 is still pretty good. Also I was pointed out some sort of Infernal Wrath Feat, it gives me extra hp when foes I've cursed go down. So I'd be nixing the perception skill training for that.
