| Would it be unbalancing to port over the multi-attack feats from SW Saga edition? I was considering Spring attack as well, however several striker classes have those as Exploits.

| | Yes, I think it would. One of the main things in 4th edition was streamlining combat--and that was done primarily by taking away multiple attacks as a basic thing. Some powers allow them, but they are never at will powers. If you are really wanting a second attack, action points are great for that :-) | | | |

| Hmm, I'll go out on a limb here and say that no, multi-attack feats won't unbalance the game, at least not horribly. 4e is balanced such that standard attack by an X level character against a standard defense of an X level monster has roughly a 50% chance to hit. If you introduce a feat that allows you to hit only 25% of the time but you can make two attacks then you won't see THAT much of a drastic difference in combat.
There are some caveats, though- you'll have to port them in as standard actions, not as generalized abilities. In other words, you can't use powers in conjunction with the feat.
Do it this way, I'd say:
Double Attack [Heroic] Prerequisite: Dex 13+ Gives you access to the at-will power Double Attack.
Double Attack (at will) Action Type: Standard Special: You must also expend a move action when executing this power. Effect: Make two basic attacks at -5 to each.
Personally, I'd never take this feat, since the -5 penalty is pretty steep. But I don't see how this could unbalance the game.

| It's all about damage, Puggins. the twin attack power the ranger has specifically limits damage--all you get is weapon damage for both. if someone has a high enough stat, it is--on average--not really any better. It is just useful if you have a hard time hitting a creature. Besides, multiple attacks is meant to be the providence of the Ranger; they specifically went out of thier way in 4th edition to make every class have certian advantages to it; you are cheapening the ranger if you let any class have access to a feat that is--in many respects--superior to the twin attack.
Perhaps the feat you suggested isn't unbalanicng in raw POWER, but the fact of the matter is, not everyone should be able to so that. | | | |

| Having the damage of your stronger powers scale by weapon damage is the replacement for multiple attacks.
