From the other thread, just want to have it down in a seperate one so I can add to it.

To flesh out population in mine a little more. (Hey, any way I can grab a chunk of that pole while I'm at it, the place above my kingdom?)
(F25-F29ish)

Races: 95% Human 4% Nordic Troll-kind (Fensir-esque) 1% Jotunheim Frost Giants (Far North/Pole) Muspelheim Fire Giants (Deep Underneath Island). Asgardian Giant Details/Stats on p200 of Deities and Demigods.

Religion: Asgardian Pantheon. Like Muhlorand (sp) in Faerun is to Egyptian Society, so this land (still deciding on name) is to this world. Cults are primarily to Odin, Thor, and Frey, though a majority of the Gods have representation. Throughout the land, most of the greater gods have selected a Champion (title will probably change later) that they see fit to represent them in their lands. Some Gods have chosen to split their power into many different powerful mortals. An example of this is Heimdall's Gatekeepers, who stand guard around the border of their land and report their findings daily to the closest Jarls. Divine magic is very prominent in the lands, and even Arcane magic is strongly divine laced.

Culture: Humans are the only race, and the strongest of them is destined to lead all the others. Many of the Northmen believe in the Alfs (elves) that live dance around the farthest trees from home. Dwarves are known to most as grubby underdweling men who's skin turn to stone with contact with sun. The bulk of their nation is split into three main Tribes, each led by Jarls (names and descriptions pending). Their Gods have a strong play in their lives, but in turn the Northmen go throughout their life courageously and (for the most part) fearlessly, having a feeling of destiny already set before them. Combat comes very naturally to all three Tribes of Northman, though the *******, the Northernmost tribe, are known to be tyrannical in combat, having no regard for their own lives. The Berserks (Deities and Demigods p200-202) have been known to have iron break on their skin, and the strength that rivals giants. Though ferocious, the Northmen are very respectful of nature and the world (as they know it) around them, and have developed to be completely self-sufficient.

The known world to the Northmen lies in the Pine Forest and it's surrounding Islands. The Volcanic Island is known to them, but it never approached, as they believe it populated by giants and possibly Surtur himself. They consider it a gate to Muspelheim, and no man should tred there. The Northman know of the coast Upland Plains & Jungles, though they have never set foot there. They have seen some of the inhabitants of the Goblinoid Empire from sea, and consider the islands to be inhabited by trolls, and again, no place for man.

Common Northman would be either LN or CN, depending on Tribe, and on average 6' for men, 5'9" for females, though extremes in height in such as 6' 10" are not uncommon in these lands. Deformed or "midgets" (little people?) are thought to be a good omen, and are sent off to colonies by themselves, commonly run by Gothar (priest/shamans) who teach them the ways of knowledge and the world. The Northmen speak a language unique to their lands, though it could have trickled to other lands, as it would be the (to my knowledge) one of the eldest of the human tongues in the world, and it is possible that at one point, many inhabitants immigrated around the world and began to set up some of the bigger human colonies. Common stats for a typical Northmen Male (no levels) would be aprox Str 12-16 Con 13 Dex 11 Int 9-11 Chr 10 Wis 10-12. (Should be above average Str and Con, average elseware with fluxating Int, though average to high Wis) Favored Class for most Northmen would be Fighter or Barbarian.

Zohran schooners will travel in your waters as they used the northern ice filled passage to get to the mercanary coast.

There will also be conflict because there will be raids on your villages in order to capture slaves. Sorry about that, but we have a business to run. [:)]

For doubles' over from the Heroes thread:
Name: Boron Tyrrsvar
Alliases: Frost-Faller, All-Jarl, Fyrd-Father, Varg Oflisson, Troll-Biter, Wolf Coat, Boron the Raven-Blessed
Race: Human (possibly Einherjar?)
Classes: Barbarian/Berserk
General Appearance: 6'8" (often taller in stories), full-bearded wide man, bound in furs and teeth. Known for his large axe as tall as a normal man wielded in one hand. Ice colored eyes, known to intimidate most living creatures.
Historic Feats: Defeating the Jotunheim Frost Giant Jarl Ygg Stone-North and responsible for destroying the remaining such giants in the mainland. First to be the Chosen of any of the Northern Gods.
History Originally born of Ivar Long-Bearded, the legendary first Jarl of the North. Boron grabbed his first chance of fame by the throat by bringing back the head of a neighboring troll hive at the age of 12. Even at that age, he held the size and temperment of a man. Several times in his rising as a hero, he single-handedly defeated many of the rising troll-kin in the mainland. Other warriors angrly tried to stop his young rising, only to be beaten as their enemies. Eventually, Ivar died, and with Giants still holding the Northern Islands, an older Boron sought to rule his land un-tested by giant foes. After an expedition, the Giant Jarl Ygg ended, and Boron's strength in the North absolute. The Gods took special intrest in Boron, and in turn, invested some of their strength in him. This was the first instance of this happening in the lands (the Germanic lands that is). Eventually, Boron gave his position to the champion of a series of tests, which in turn was his son, Olaf Boronsson, who took the position and continued the line of the Northernmost tribes. Boron began to sink into the shadow, only to return triumphantly when the lands he claimed become threatened. Long after many of his line have died from both battle and age, Boron still shows his bearded head at least once a century, even if it is to prove his strength to the rest of the tribes, then recede into his hiding, only to return on his great Drakkar, Hildsvir
Area of Origin: Germanic Tribal Kingdoms, Northernmost Island
Area Last Seen: Different places throught his lands. Last seen 30 years from current time to combat a rogue troll group harassing the eastern fyrds.

Several ideas to explain his age. 1) He could have died long ago, only to become an Einherjar, returning to his kingdom in times of need, or 2) As a Chosen of his Gods, he could have gained some form of prolonged life, and has his own retreat somewhere in the pull.

I doubt any of the Germanic peoples would be a target of slavery. The waters would be hard patrolled by drakkars and water-bound Berserks with the whale-form. The people themselves are raiders, and every member of each tribe is born knowing that the best death is a death fighting. If the coastlines would ever be in question of defense, they'd be heavily garrisoned with Berserks and skirted by the Chosen followers of their respective Gods/Goddesses, notably the Eyes of Heimdall and the Thunder-Foe of Thor.
