| Cool. I'm so glad that this is happening so soon, because the Wizards game is ridiculously unplayable.
The Pirate Ship game is uses crews, commanders, weapons and it is something very much lacking in the WoTC game.

Well i used to play Wizkids since MageKnight/Heroclix but i got bored and displeased so i quit (the know lacks of those games) for a while i become interested in the pirates ship game that is pretty simple but really interesting in the dynamic, maybe the cardboard game would be pretty simple and nice, but DDS is better with big ships even that the dynamic is pretty simplistic too (ala Dreamblade)
Let´s wait how is the game, maybe i buy some but knowing Wizkids with the power cards the game may be a little boring and hard to get good combos if you don´t expend hundreds of bucks for the perfect warband! | |

Looks like they handle scale similar to SWSS - or worse. The imperial shuttle in pic looks as big as the falcon.
Thats enough to turn me off it.

Being sincere me too! that´s because they have the card and miniature game in different companies, maybe this game would strong compete the WOTC Starship games, but the Wizkids game is more about fighters.

| As a fan of Pirates I am looking forward to it. My set of SSB is now complete, and it will be interesting to see how well Wizkids pull it off. If it plays like Pirates I might just use the Wizkids rules (using crew cards) and just use my WOTC ships. It would be neat to see how they compare. Competition is good!
I had picked up some of the now defunct Rocketmen boosters ages back because I needed ships for SWRPG. In one pack you can actually pull cards that pop out to produce 4 of the same model. This would be great if they can do this for X-wing and Tie squadrons. | |
