Heya All;
Quick rules question for everybody/anybody.
Initiative: 2 players roll the d20. Lowest roll 'moves' first, highest roll 'shoots' first. Who is considered to have actually 'WON' initiative?
Reason for this question - Imperial Interdictor Cruiser states that enemy fleet automatically 'loses' initiative in the first round of battle. So, what exactly does that mean?
Please help?

Interesting point. Don't have rulebook at hand, but online rules say only "The player with the lower initiative goes first in the move phase, and the one with the higher initiative goes first in the attack phase."
I guess that winner should be the one that rolls higher. But I don't think that there's nothing preventing you from rerolling the initiative with BC frigate in order to get lower result, so isn't winning same thing than getting the result you want?

Winning initiative is getting the higher initiative. Winning isn't necessarily a good thing, depending on circumstances.

Again, don't have rulebook - but could that initiative mean setup -initiative? With limited arc weapons, it will be meaningful. But the only imperial ship with those is Executor, which in turn is hurt by interdictor...

Virago, Banking clan frigate, Guild Destroyer also have limited arc weapons. Whilst most (ex-Virago) are not "Imperial" they are darkside.
The only rule on setup I can find is that "lightside sets up first". Which is fine for LS V's DS but meanigless if both fleets are the same faction.
Obvious rule is to role initiative for setup, but I can't find that anywhere in the rules. And the obvious extension to that rule is for the interdictor & re-rolls to affect the setup roll. But we do need a FAQ on this subject.
